Privacy Policy

Tango Digital Agency (and also referred to in this policy as “we” or “us,”) considers the protection of your privacy to be of paramount importance. Tango Digital Agency collects only anonymous data from participating member web sites and advertisers, which includes websites and advertisers that are part of the Tango Digital Agency advertising network. Tango Digital Agency is an advertising network that sells advertising inventory for third party publishers. Tango Digital Agency also trades and buys advertising inventory for its clients. Collectively, these practices are referred to in this privacy policy as “the Services.”

In providing these Services, we do not know the name, telephone number, mailing address, email address or any other personally identifiable information (PII) about the user. We use this information to create shopper profiles to target products and offers to Internet users.

Cookies and other technologies

Tango Digital Agency collects browsing information about users who visit the websites of publishing customers through the use of web beacons (also known as pixel tags), cookies, and placement tags. A cookie is a small text file that is sent to your browser, which may then be stored on your hard drive. A web beacon consists of a small string of software code that represents a graphic image request on a Web page or email. There may or may not be a visible graphic image associated with the web beacon, but usually a cookie will be created, deleted or modified after the successful HTTP request and response. Web beacons are an industry standard, used by many major web sites and ad networks. A placement tag is a piece of code that presents an advertisement to a user. No PII is collected or used for any of these processes.

What information is collected by Tango Digital Agency?

When an Internet user visits the website of a Tango Digital Agency customer, we receive information about the visit. The information we receive relates to the user’s visits to certain types of sites or content. It may include information about websites visited, advertisements viewed, or the advertisements displayed on a website visited. We may also collect information about the actions users take after clicking on an advertisement on one of our customers’ websites or after clicking on an advertiser’s website after clicking on an ad.

How is this information used?

Tango Digital Agency uses the information described above to:

Analyze the behavior of users in anonymized and aggregated form to segment users by inferred interests, such as “football fan.”
Customize the advertisements that consumers see on publisher customers’ websites and other websites.
Determine and analyze if advertising results in clicks or the actual completion of a sale.
Frequency cap campaign delivery.

At times, we may send our publisher customers certain aggregated anonymous data for their use in determining what products and offers to show their site visitors. The specific source of the data is not disclosed.

There may be instances when we may disclose your information, including situations where Tango Digital Agency has a good faith belief that such disclosure is necessary in order to: (i) protect, enforce, or defend the legal rights, privacy, safety, or property of Tango Digital Agency, our parents, subsidiaries or affiliates, or their employees, agents and contractors (including enforcement of our agreements and our terms of use); (ii) protect the safety, privacy, and security of users or customers of Tango Digital Agency or members of the public; (iii) protect against fraud or for risk management purposes; (iv) comply with the law or legal process; or (v) respond to requests from public and government authorities.

Is this information secured?

We seek to use reasonable organizational, technical and administrative measures to protect Personal Information within our organization.
